House Flipping 101 with Jamel Gibbs- Does a Wholesaler have to Put the Assignee’s Deposit In Escrow?

Wholesale investors are often confused about what to do with the deposit that they receive from the Assignee.  For those of you who don’t know what an assignee is; it’s basically the other investor that you are wholesaling the property too… in layman’s terms!

In this new House Flippin’ 101 Video I explained it all for you.  Thanks to Tony Pantoni for sending in such a great question!

  1. The video decided to come up just as I sent the last message.
Thanks for the info because I seriously needed to know that! It was very helpful.
Uhh, the music on the other hand is way too much(LOUD). It’s a major distraction for the content of your video. You might want to turn it off when you’re speaking so as to not take away from the value of your excellent and very useful content.
Again, the information in the video helped me a lot and was right on time. Much appreciated!

  2. Jamel. Just watched this on my new fender phone. Good question. Excellent. Answer. Keep showing them how to do it. Philly foreclosure protection.

  3. Jamel,

Thank you so much for your help! My assignment contract does say non-refundable and I let the seller and buyer know this upfront. According to them everything is proceeding on schedule so I will hold on to the deposit for now.

    Regards,

  4. Jamel I’m new to real estate investing; and I wanted to start out by wholesaling REO properties. Now my question is with so many properties on the market does that make it harder to wholesale,When an investor could just deal with the banks directly.

    Thank You.

    Darrell

  5. HEY JAMEL, I’M NEW TO REO/WHOLESALING. BUT DO YOU NEED A DEPOSIT IF YOU HAVE PROOF OF FUNDS?

  6. Just went to your website for the 1st time. First heard you with Wendy Patton. I will be following you – it looks like you have good stuff.
