estimate repairs properly. Because of this, they tend to make
offers that are too high on potential property deals.
But did you know that you don't need a contractor to estimate
repairs on HUD properties? In fact, you don't even need to see the
property in order to make an offer.
The reason for this is because HUD provides you with a detailed
property report on each property. And within that detailed
property report is a list of repairs that the property needs.
I can't tell you how much time this will save you when you are
bidding on HUD properties.
Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't view the property once your
offer is accepted. Of course you will want to view a property if
HUD accepts your offer.
But in an effort to save time, you should view the details in the
property report and just make offers.
